People in Palm Beach, Florida claimed mass confusion in the voting booths, accidentally voting for the Reform ticket instead of the Democratic ticket. To bolster their claims, stats show that Buchanan supposedly received 3407 votes in Palm Beach. Yet he averaged only 211 votes in each of the other 66 counties of Florida. Palm Beach is predominantly democratic, with a significant Jewish community. Surely the errors in the voting are obvious! The mistaken votes, which should number about 3200, would be enough to push Gore over the top in the electoral college.
What can be done about the Palm Beach controversy involving people who mistakingly voted for Buchanan instead of Gore on the ticket? Don't they have a right for their true voice to be heard?
